Description My Imperial Agent character from The Old Republic. Abandoned my boring Consular in favor of the Empire. The Jedi are too goody-two-shoes that it makes them appear sterile:/ Also, the Imperials have British accents, so it's a bonus

Coloring practice before working on something else. Missing out on 2 months is not good

Yeah the VA for the Imperial Agent is pretty hot, partially cos I am really biased when it comes to British accents. Honestly I quit the game quite some time ago cos the end-game content was terrible back then and I had WoW to deal with too. In the end I quit all MMORPGs in my life

And evil... lol. Ironically I play him mostly light-side with a streak of dark-side. I have yet to make an evil character in any of the rpgs I playD:

It is a PC game called Star Wars: The Old Republic. I get to customise my character, so I just happen to make him look like that. Well not exactly how I draw him, but he has the same eye color and hairstyle lol. I changed everything else when I drew him hehee

If he gets too high up in the ranks Vader'll choke 'em, though. = The downside of being an Imperial.

I want to kidnap this guy, just so you know.
*Bags him and drags him off to harem*

Ha I got my character electrocuted a couple of times cos of his insolence towards his Sith masters. Haven't managed to get him choked though:/ (I'm quite the sadist muahaha)

Yep feel free to kidnap him. I would suggest chloroform unless you want to drag him away kicking and screaming.

Wait...it's unhealthy to have an obsession with drawing eyes? Crap!! (I share in this obsession by the way).

valefor In reply to Kessira26 [2012-02-13 23:35:43 +0000 UTC]

Well I tend to get distracted when I put in a lot of effort defining the eyes, which leads to my screwing up the rest of the face (especially the mouth and jawline). Either I draw simpler eyes or I leave the eyes blank so that I can focus on noticing errors lol.

Yeah I notice you also put in a lot of effort in defining the eyelashes, lids etc. So much detailD: I'm not surprised you are eye-obsessed too

Kessira26 In reply to valefor [2012-02-14 16:17:23 +0000 UTC]

My friend was creeped out to discover, that while I shade all around the eyes, I don't actually draw the irises/pupils, lashes etc, until I have the rest of the face all shaded and shaped (the first layer at least, fine detail shading comes later). But I do it for the same reason. If I work on the eyes first, I'll mess up the rest of the face, and HATE it, because the eyes look so good, and why can't I make the rest of it match!! *whine* Hehe. I LOVE drawing the eyes, I really do.

valefor In reply to Kessira26 [2012-02-19 09:34:14 +0000 UTC]

Oh wow. I can't wait that long before I complete the eyes. I usually start filling in the irises once I get the cheekbones done. I use eyes as a way to predict if the sketch will turn out fine lol. If the eyes are funky, I usually redraw the entire thing:/ But yes, I agree that doing the eyes later after getting the basic face shape right is really important. Faces are so "touchy"; one small mistake and they will end up looking unnaturalT_T

Kessira26 In reply to valefor [2012-02-20 14:59:22 +0000 UTC]

One of the reasons I like drawing such close portraits, faces so large, is that they are a lot more forgiving when they are bigger. It's much harder to get them accurate when they are smaller. One tiny fraction of an inch off on a line, and the whole face looks crooked. Ugh!

valefor In reply to Kessira26 [2012-02-23 01:23:41 +0000 UTC]

Ha yeah the amount of details you can put in a big portrait is enough to "cover up" mistakes too. The observer usually gets lost in all those details that they tend to overlook any errors.
