Well, on the videos I start with a rough storyboard and scribbles. But I change things when I’m actually working on it, because some scenes don’t fit anymore etc. It’s a process of drawing, testing and polishing and many ideas come during the process. For my other stuff I usually have a rough idea in my head and just get started, sometimes with a scribble, sometimes not, then I keep adding details till I like it.

Some gradients here and there, but besides that a standard 1px brush and low res.
Software: Photoshop (for pixel art & animation) and Final Cut (for the videos/some camera movement/zoom etc.).
