I have a confession to make... I've been working on this to escape reality =__=;;;
On the plus side, I switched jobs, now have better and more flexible work hours... I shall return back among the living .__. (And finish those commissions I couldn't finish for months *shot*)

Last year when they announced reboot of Sailor Moon series for 20th year anniversary, I doodled a custom design for the senshi(you can see the original sketch from my tumblr on link at bottom!) Being my favourite, I did the redesign for Neptune. Then I liked the design so much that in a whim, I decided to make cosplay of it. And kinda guilt tripped me into attending İzmirCon 2014 8D

It was such a crazy ride, at first I bought materials then I was disheartened by the wickedness of mom's old sewing machine and wrong choice of thread for embroidery... Then after 8 months later, my friends gave me the necessary push, we were to get ready for a cosplay convention in 5 months. I panicked, naturally XDD We quickly gathered all necessary materials in two months, meanwhile I started working like crazy on collar and front sash thingy... I hand embroidered that sash, it was taking too long that the experience was somewhat soothing but nightmarish.... So I decided to paint collar instead :,D I found material for gloves and leg wraps 2 months before the event. Initial convention was canceled, but another was going to happen 2 weeks after that so we set our dates to 3-4 May for İzmirCon'2014. I managed to make sewing maching work literally 2 weeks before deadline so I had to sew everything by hand until that point. To be honest, I used a LOT of fabric adhesive where I could XDD

Nonetheless, I finished the costume 3 hours BEFORE the cosplay contest on the last day of convention I was so proud (STILL AM!!) because this was not only my first cosplay experience, it was my first real experience sewing a garment Everything fell in place like last minute, so it was kinda hectic, crazy and fun I learnt a LOT about a lot of things 8D I'M SORRY FOR ALL SORTS OF WEIRD MISTAKES I MIGHT'VE DONE AND I CAN'T POSE TO SAVE MYSELF I WAS SO LAME DURING THE PHOTOSHOOT!!!

Well, I didn't win anything in the contest, BUT I was invited for a bigger cosplay event that'll be held in İstanbul at 2015!! So it was ALL sorts of awesome in the end!!! 8DDD I already decided to cosplay Jihl Nabaat from FF13, and the design IS trickier than this one... sooo.... wish me luck!!! *crosses fingers*
