I did something similar not so long ago, where I spent several hours drawing my hands and feet in different poses. It's true so many artists find it difficult to draw these body parts that are so vital to us!

it's not exactly very good and theres not much point to putting it up, but you made me think that I should put some of my other sketches up
by the way I'm learning a lot from looking at your study drawings, thanks for putting them up

Even your scumbled background is beautiful. You're right - many people struggle with hands, and avoid drawing feet altogether.

i have several nudes that are fine, except when you get to the feet. when i painted sloppy feet, the whole nude was ruined.

Sorry, I meant - are you using a reference? And if so, what? Anatomy books? Life reference? Dissecting people?

it was all from life
there was a model posing
the rest, meaning the foot with no skin is an anatomical plaster model
the skeletal parts, just a regular plastic replica, the same as in any phesicians office
we got a bunch of those in the anatomy class

that's understandable. i don't know that we're getting as deep into anatomy as that, but hopefully i can get closer to where i want to be as an artist.
