Description
To the southwest the land rises into sparse, forbidding hills where very little grows but where treasures lie deep in the veins of the earth. Many of the Quadlings live and work the mines under these hills, where they bring out the rubies famous that make their land famous and define the red color of their heritage. Tunnels lead from the foothills into the deep, for few of the Quadlings wish to deal overmuch with the creatures who live on top of those peaks. Once a cave or tunnel is played out with no more gems, it is abandoned in favor of richer gem veins.
Glinda’s Palace is a grand affair, fitting for the most powerful Witch in Oz. The walls gleam with every shade of ruby from blood red to pink, and when the sun shines the walls can explode with light on the outside that is it’s own defense to those who would approach on the Trade Road.
