Here's my new DC Universe, Earth-53.

Here, Hal Jordan has been the first official human Green Lantern in the GLC for decades, first joining the corps young during the 1960s. First one of the shyer recruits, in a short matter of times he became one the most confident and effective Green Lanterns out there. Currently in his 70s, he has kept in good shape and is still (mostly) as effective as ever. However he likes to downplay his importance; his name is known throughout many galaxies and is likely the most famous Green lantern out there, saving the GLC from the bad image Sinestro gave them decades ago. As such, he often wears a trench coat over his uniform to hide his status.

After splitting from Carol Ferris, nothing was keeping him on Earth and he decided to transfer to a different sector. However upon the recruitment of new human Green Lantern Simon Baz, Jordan was sent to become his mentor and introduce him to the ways of the corps, due to being the only other human available.

He's become grouchier with age, but stayed just as strong despite hiding the pains he has suffered during his long life. Unlike others, he has not resorted to darker, more brutal methods, but does things a little less by the books than in days gone past.
