Description
In June 1914, 6-year old Eileen was walking along the stone wall of the local doctor's house when she saw something that gave her the fright of her life.

Across the wall down a path a strange figure caught her attention. It was looking past her over the wall and it seemed to be very tall, as the wall was 5 feet tall and she could see most of the being. It's appearance frightened her so much that she felt paralyzed on the spot.

As she struggled to move, the thing slowly started to turn its eyeless gaze in her direction. At this point the witness heard a voice in her ear, "If it looks straight at you, Eileen, you will die." At the urging of the mysterious voice she managed to run back 15 yards to the nearest cabin, where she collapsed.

Her next memory was of the cottage's owner, Mrs. Reilly, sponging her face with water as she shook with terror. Eileen told the woman what she had seen and Mrs. Reilly replied that she was not the first to see it and would likely not be the last.

I meant to draw the sighting exactly as described but I got it backwards. The Deathgazer was standing in the Doctor's garden and looking down the lane to the harbor, while Eileen walked past. I should have reread it before I spent a ton of time on that background, lol.
