Meet Kira! Full name Athina Akira Aquilla - just call her Kira. Call her 'Triple A' and you're in for a spider bite of the worst sorts.

Kira's a Drider. Or Dridder. Or Arachne. Or Arachnide. Or 'spider girl'. Or what have you! Half human half spider; too many names for those things, but we'll go with Drider, as Dridder is technically a 'Felaryan' term, and Arachne's have...certain..distasteful...reputations. But at the same time, 'Drider' is technically a fallen Drow of some sort...which Kira is not either. Gee just can't win in this world.

With Kira here, my intention was to create a much more human Drider than commonly seen. Someone who you could almost imagine strolling through your city at night -you know, if these things existed- instead of lurking in some mystic cave in General-Fantasy-World waiting to pounce adventurers and gobble them up. Driders and the like are often portrayed as lusty (and/or) taskmasters. I wanted to go for more the...cute look. And, you know, actually wearing clothes.

Spent quite a bit of time putting her together, and I'm pretty happy with the results. My tool of choice was Poser. I didn't model this; all the base resources came from Daz3D. With some tricky adjusting and parenting, I combined the 'Aiko 4' figure with a seperate spider figure, and the clothing and hair are all separate models. However, almost all the textures were in some way edited by myself in order to get the looks like wanted (for instance, spidery exoskeleton on her hands and forearms).
