Description
Oil on canvas board. 38 * 46 cm. Spring 2003.One more painting from a life model in a class. I did this one about a year ago. Painting was not the first thing on my mind back then, hence the rather expressive outcome.

Yeah, I guess so. I've always started to draw and paint, when I've had it difficult in life. My family lived a couple of years in the US when I was aged six, and in the beginning when I did not know English, I responded by drawing all the time.

I like this painting, the awkardness of the pose is very endearing. But perhaps if you have some highlights/lighter tones (just a tiny bit), the painting would be more expressive than it is now.
But yeah, I like this painting the most from you gallery.

Well, thanks a lot You seem to be the first one to do so. It does have a personal significance for me, and I've been quite surprised that no one has paid any attention to it. Yes, it's dark, and could probably use some contrast, but I was depressed at the time.
