So after seeing the greatest movie of 2008 so far, The Dark Knight, I really don't know what other villains besides Riddler, Catwoman and Talia can fit into the next story. Like I'd love for Poison Ivy, but I don't know if Nolan would go for her with how he loves his "realistic" Gotham City.Anyway, the Riddler I would like to see is the one from Batman: The Animated Series. He's suave, not ugly not jaw dropping gorgeous, he's a know it all debonair.
I'd also like to see Riddler hold his own a little bit against Batman.
So I tried selecting from a couple of actors in the age range I would want to see him.

My first choice would be Jude Law, then David Tennant, Johnny Depp, Zachary Quinto, and why not Leonardo Dicaprio?

Nolan was never going to use Leo as the Riddler, haven't watched Great Gatsby(not a fan of the story), and didn't care for him in Wolf of Wall Street; Movie was pretty bad as a whole to me, except for McConaughey's small part and Margot Robbie.
He's not a good actor, he tries way too hard but without conviction.

Jim Carry wasn't so bad so long as you were watching for entertainment value. I'd like to see a Johnny Depp Riddler. That would be amazing.

For me Ralph Fiennes sticks out to me, mainly because i remember seeing him in Red Dragon which he was kinda like the Riddler in a way but he could bring a dark image to The Riddler that the Christian Bale Batman series is looking for.

The Riddler from the animated series was awesome but I'm kind of intrigued by the the Riddler in the graphic novel "Joker" by Brian Azzarello & Lee Bermejo he seems like just some nerd who enjoys challenges and didn't want to waste his genius on the mundane. To me it doesn't matter who plays the Riddler as long as they can capture that character.

I know Riddler was confirmed to not be in the movie but there's nothing to suggest Hugo Strange is the villain.

Yeah I heard... News is they debunked all rumors... saying less than 5 people have even touched the script, it is highly unlikely anything was truly leaked.. So many possibilities.. The only thing I want for sure in the movie is Talia Al Ghul.. Due to the start of this Bat-Trilogy and that is movie is supposed to be the end of his stories for movies.. It should end the way it began, with the story of Rahz Al Ghul.

Micheal C Hall would be amazing!
Also other great contenders would be Micheal Shannon who is beyond perfect, he was in Revolutionary Road and did an incredible performance as an recently-out-of-asylum sinister ex-mathmatcian (was nominated for an academy award for it) and on top of that he looks like he jumped out of a Batman comic, he looks to a T what the Riddler would look like brought to life.
Jeremy Renner would also be a good contender too.

Michael Hall is one of the most talentless actors in the industry right now. I prefer he not be part of any project I'm interested in nor a character that I like.
I can definitely see Michael Shannon working.
I'm hoping Renner will just be Hawkeye for right now, but I'd be cool with him as Riddler as well

well, simm's much better of a choice than, let's say, depp, mcgregor or tennant (as simm's acting just like the doctor, only more evil) and got the [erfect, not too much of a heartthrobm looks... the guy's 100% perfect! hands down... but i kinda agree on sheen, too...

Zachary and David would be my picks for Riddler
i mean, David has the charisma and talent of the energetic side, whilst Zach has the warped side
i do think Johnny would be a more likely choice, but personally he's all show and no go

why? he can get off as aggressive, calm, suave, extremley-smart-to-the-point-of-being-a-jerk, and simply nuts (all in gamer), everything the riddler needs... also, very good choices!

Simply put, I find Michael C. Hall to be a talentless hack. The only thing Gamer showed me was that he had a good singing voice. And yes, I've seen him in other tv shows and movies and I don't like him.
