SHINKAMENRIDERRRRRRR PLZ.This show actually really intrigues me, this incarnation of kamen-rider was not a cyborg but a genetically modified mutant, and didn't have a bike, so technically the name doesn't make sense..
but he looks so freaky and cool, they made a movie to see how well it would do...but it didn't do so well and a series was never made, so I kinda did this drawing as a possible mid series uber boss battle thing 8D

It was called Shin because this was the true vision of Kamen Rider/Masked Rider by the late,great Shotaro Ishinomori hence the term 'Shin' which meant True in Japanese. Oddly enough,the actor who played Shin was also called Shin as his years go by.

Zetman? Oh yeah..I watched some MMPR fan films and Teenagers with Attitude and Red Rising ain't bad for very Batman-esque PR fan-films.

har many thanks. I would agree, as far as the new ones go I did enjoy Habiki, Den-O although both weird pretty goofy they were alot of fun and I quite liked bits of Kabuto ( I really liked the suits and monsters and overall story of Kabuto but the weird pretty-boy-suprme-chef and uh...ultimate make-up-artist rider personas made me wonder who the show was supposed to be for) I definatly prefer the older riders, Zo and Shin and Black are my personal favorties : D
I feel this image is a little rough nowadays, maybe it's high time for a some new Shin arts : D

har, well the the character Shin ( in human form or what have you ) did ride a motorcycle but it wasn't really his defining feature : D

Amazon, Shin and guills are the only biological riders but they all rule! i barely watched the Shin movie and i love the finisher he made....creepy......but rocked! this drawing is cool! the desing of shin is a little off but it looks great i cant complain

Yeah I know all about the bio-riders X'D...hey...that almost sounds like the name of a potential spin-off. I guess the thing I like about shin is that he's so different from alot of the other riders :3
as far as the design goes, rather than attempting to do it from memory (I was away from ref material at the time) I just did my own slight spin on him...actually he's probably not ugly enough really X'D

X'D i guess he would be pretty freaky is you saw him as a kid, although shin was supposed to be for adults (which is why it's such an odd little movie)
he first anime series i ever say was Guyver (which was inspired by kamen rider) and shin is an example of where kamen rider was influenced in turn by Guyver X'D (and ZO after that)
I enjoy all the beasty grotesqueness of shin :3

those white highlights really do a lot to make the forms jump out, also i love how the sky fades to green.

^__^ thanks, these picutes do look pretty dead without the highlights i can tell you (i do all the shading first) i actually chose the sorta teal fading to green sky to kinda fit in better with the foregrounds and the creatures and stuff ^__^

They had one with an American dude though..I had the action figure and everything...he rode a super cool motorcycle, though that does look very much like it. Wow, v.v I never knew the title to the show haha, probably did at one point..just been so long I forgot..

Wellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll llllllllllllll, *ahem, if you remember power rangers, it was actually a japanese show which they simply deleted all the scenes with the japanese actors and replaced them with new corny(er) scenes with american actors and they got copies of the suits to where in the scenes without the fighting.
based on the sucess on that show they decided to do the same thing with the somewhat simlar show 'Kamen rider' even debuting him in a specail episode of the powerrages as a promotion. the show named 'Masked Rider' (which is what kamen translates too ^__^) was actually the americanised version of 'Kamen Rider Black RX' see [link]
i saw this show when i was a kid too, now i really want to get ahold of the origanl japanse stuff for the win 8D

Haha, I get what you are saying, I loved the original power rangers, American version at least. I knew all about the Americanization of that show, v.v but never really made the connection with the Kamen Rider deal, v.v guess it's kind of obvious if you look at it like that.
Why can't we just come up with something as cool as the Jap's and have it all our own, not just copied haha.
