Ach ja. Der übliche Anblick in Ausstellungen. Es ist irgendwie traurig.

Ich hatte das große Glück 10 Minuten vorher das Bild für ca. 5 Minuten fast ganz alleine betrachten zu können.

Ohhh das ist in der Tat Glück! Ich war auch mal in Paris - aber 10 Minuten bevor die Ausstellung am Louvre schloss.

Didn't see any prohibition sign (as there were for other pieces of art), so I assume no. But I don't know and no one tried to prevent the visitors to take pictures...

Oh je, gibt es überhaupt einen Moment, in dem man vor diesem Gemälde ungestört ist? Immerhin hast Du die Stimmung, die dort vorherrscht, perfekt eingefangen.

Ja, es gibt solche Momente: wir konnten als erste ins Museum und durften den Aufzug direkt zur Mona Lisa nehmen. Dadurch hatten wir sie für ca. 5 Minuten fast nur für uns. Aber der Betrachtungsabstand ist so groß, dass es bei dem Besuch nur darum gehen kann, das wohl bekannteste Gemälde der (westlichen) Welt mal gesehen zu haben. Aber das war uns schon vorher bewußt.

Ich habe natürlich auch ein Bild ohne Menschen, aber das ist -wie erwartet- recht uninteressant.

Yes, it's in the Louvre-Museum in Paris. But this kind of photography is called street-photography as it was taken in a public place (it doesn't necessarily have to be on the street).

If I understand the definition correctly, "street photography" is a subset of candid photography. Candid photography doesn't need to be done in a public space, e.g. wedding photography is candid (if the persons are not aware that they are being photographed), but not street photography, because it's generally not in a public space and the selected persons are not random.
So, I'd say that this picture is street and therefore candid too.
