SURPRISE!I hope you like it ! I was so happy to get you, I really wanted to do something with Goofy and Max and you were the only one who asked!
Originally I was going to draw the Main Street Ice Cream Shop behind them but I just couldn't get a good enough ref =/
I spent a long time one this and had a really fun time. I hope you like it as much as I do!

Main Street Ice Cream Shop... I WISH I WAS THERE...
Ahem I mean - awww, adorable! I love that it's canon that Goofy has a son even though they rarely put him in things these days. A couple of years ago they had a free character call program where you could fill in information and get an automated message call from a character. If you picked Goofy some of the messages you could choose from were him talking about things he and Max had done.

I can't remember, but isn't there the implication that Mrs. Goof died? I didn't watch a whole lot of that show since it came on when I was kind of "on the edge" about most series and so I only really continued to make time for Darkwing, but I would swear I saw at least one episode where they sort of reminisce about her. Not that it's uncommon for Disney shows to have a single-parent family where the other parent is dead, but still, for them to *acknowledge* that is something...
Regardless and all... yeah, Max is hard to find at the parks now that you mention it... I've seen him with Goofy in a couple of promotional videos but never actually AT the parks. Not that I go all THAT often (unfortunately).

I've never heard of that. I know in one episode the did mention Goofy having a wife, but nothing else. That's when Max was trying to find his dad a girlfriend.
I've tried to look it up before and I got no leads what-so-ever.
Yes. I've heard it's even uncommon for the staff at Disney to see him walking around! I should start some kind of group to convince Disney to bring back Max!

The episode I think kind of... maybe hints at it? is the Christmas episode, which I have on tape, so that's why it's likely that would be the one (as in, I've seen it most often/most recently). But I can't think of anything specific so it might be completely in my imagination. XD
I tried looking up "what happened to goofy's wife" on Google and I found this, but again, it's totally unsourced: [link] So whoever wrote this again shares my impression that Goofy is a widower but doesn't provide the source of that belief. Meanwhile, no clue as to how she died. Hope it wasn't just because Goofy is so accident-prone.
