I didnt get mine right on the first try. lol It was hard to take my ID with a D-SLR. The frickin autofocus focused more on my glasses than my eyes. and its damn near impossible to focus when not looking through the viewfinder.

Oh god I know, it's all guess work.
I had mine on a tripod with a ten second timer.

I got pretty close to focusing it right when I focused it at an object, then placed it on that object, then going back to where I focused it from. But that took a lot of coordination. I just ended up bracing the camera against the window and letting the autofocus deal with it. I was gonna be late to school and didnt have much time.
