Edit: Under no circumstances may this image be used elsewhere, especially in personal projects. I'm still bitter over the fact this image was used without permission by katethegreat19/Erutan in her very popular video showcasing her remix of Roses of May (here youtu.be/bNHtbw4Kyf0 I suggest fanartsists who've made Beatrix works to check to see if their art was also used without permission.) As of this day, that video has 1,357,947 views. At one point the only credit provided to any of the fanart in the video is "art taken from Deviantart," but skimming around today has yielded no credit given at all. If I was not given permission, it is likely that other artists equally had their art used without permission as well.

I've tried numerous occasions to leave comments about this misuse of art with a link to this piece, but the video gets so many comments that anything posted would be buried. I'm so hurt by this. I love Beatrix so much, if I'd been asked I would've loved to agree and contribute to such a wonderful work of music. And I do mean that, I adore the song Erutan made, it is literally the second most played songs in my music library--the first is another of Eurotan's remixes. I would honestly love to support her work, but there's no way I'll pay her a dime because of this. I literally felt punched in the gut when out of no where my art showed up in the song/video---I had no idea it had been used.

To add insult to injury, there were no links back to any of the specific pieces to their original sources. Imagine how many views, favorites, or watches my art (or others) had missed out on. My email tagged on every colored piece I do was cropped out----I could've been contacted through email even if Erutan didn't remember where she saved the image from. My "Alley Cat" stamp is partially cropped as well. I even had prints of this piece (still do) so imagine how much money I may've missed out on that too. The video itself runs adds, so you could even say Erutan is profiting at the expense of other artists.

Please, for the love of whatever powers maybe, don't use other's works of art for your personal gain. Always, always ask. Artists will appreciate you took the time to think about their rights in regards to their own creations.

I'm not quite sure what to say about this one. I think I might make prints of it without the game logo and such. Erm. Yeah.
