I feel like they behave differently. There are some in the San Bernardino National Forest I would come across that were similar to this. They didn't seem to be climbers, they were darker, not so full and broad.
I'm used to something that looks like this, but with more needles, myself.

It's just... they look so much like other things instead and it's such a precise thing that you've done that it matters. This is why my cowardly self does abstract and photography.
