AMAZING!!! The thought of the kids in "How to train your Dragon" sounding like modern American teenagers while all the adults sounded like old-ish world Scots crossed my mind yesterday, before I even knew this piece of fanart existed. Great hilarious insight!

Ya mean Canadian, since the voice actor for Hiccup is Canadian. As for the rest of the kids, well its a cartoon. its already out there. They can't go back and remake it now. It is what it is. And yes, the land was there with whatever native people who were living there at the time. Its funny cause the vikings had actually touchΒ North America before any other European.

I think it's just because they went with Hiccup's VA as a pick instead of finding someone with a more authetnic accent. Same with the other kids. Dunno why...maybe in that universe it develops when you hit puberty? XD So, guess none of them have gone through Viking puberty yet.
