Description
There are days where I would dream without sound or color. It was too detailed to be just shades of black and white though; As if I knew what colors are supposed to be present, but they had faded away. I never dream at night, I dream in daylight within the realms of my mind. The world outside of my dreams held no interest to me at times. It is painful, filled with emotions that scare me. As I grew, my dreams expanded as well. Slowly, color leaked into them, starting as tones and tints and evolving into true colors. Sounds started as small whispers and turn almost deafening.
I spent more and more time dreaming. The now lush, colorful paradise starts to become reality, and the boring world of anguish, where death is around every corner, where children have no say in anything, where stars have long died before we even see the spark of their light…
This world is only a dream, and the dream is a reality where color has sound, sound has a taste, taste has a smell, and smell has a color. Where you can pick up a star from the sky above you and hold it close to your chest, radiating a perfect little warmth that feels more like sunlight than a fireball.
And then, I stopped dreaming of this world, and woke up in my 'dream world', where chirping birds provided a lullaby to me as I accept my new reality.
