Description
Combat Launcher 40 is a multi-purpose long range launcher, with a 4-round drum magazine. It uses any standard 40mm grenade launcher ammo, including the basic HE grenades and m576 buckshot. Two new kinds of rounds has been developed for this weapon, a high power, high velocity armor piercing high explosive round, as well as two different Beehive rounds; loaded with either 5 rounds of 12,7x99mm or 10 rounds of 7.62x51mm.Related content

Thanks! Have you checked my latest version, the CL 40T? I am very happy about that one! Maybe not as practical and realistic as this beauty, but still.. I like that one more.

yeah, i've checked it out. looks pretty good as well, i like the fact that it's extremely compact with the stock folded and barrel all the way back.
the only thing i'm not sure about is that telescoping barrel...
but what am i talking about, i have already put a 12-gauge shotgun under a pistol.
even a telescoping barrel is more practical than an pistol-underslung 12 gauge.

oh and may i say, you just inspired me. i'm thinking about making a grenade launcher now...
just maybe though.

Yeah, I'm with you on the telescopic barrel thing.. It's just an idea I've been pondering about for a while. I've thought about how it would work to keep the integrity of the barrel itself, like segmented spring mechanisms and whatnot. But I can't really see how it would work in real life. It is cool though, and makes it more compact XD
Make a grenade launcher! <-- would be my advice to you.

yeah, i started working on the launcher.
you know, i usually draw weapons a lot, with pencils, pens or whatever. at home, or when i finish the exercises in the school before other people and i have to way, i draw LOTS of weapons. actually, i believe to have already drawn more than one thousand, maybe more than two thousand. unfortunately, most of them are not really good and i usually don't archive even the best ones...
so, what's the point in this: i love creating concepts.
one of the concepts i created was for a small, easily conceable (is that how its written?), yet fairly accurate SMG, and i have tried to aprimorate it over time. unfortunately, i stopped improving it last year after i finally realized there were better systems out there.
so, the concept was: a very, very small (maybe the same size as a pistol) reciever, with the pistol grip serving as the magwell(again just like a pistol), a threaded barrel, and a more-less "skeletal" stock, with a locking system for a quick-detach barrel extension, which would go "inside" (in the "skeletal" aperture in the middle) the stock. you would unfold the stock, with the press of a button you would release the barrel extension and you would then attach it on the threaded barrel. at the end of the barrel extension, near the muzzle, there would be multiple big holes, like a compensator. however, instead of leading the gas out of the barrel, it would lead them to a chamber that would work like a supressor. so, the barrel extension would also work like some kind of integral supressor, but without affecting muzzle velocity and accuracy (integral supressors are usually the barrel itself with multiple holes leading to the supressor's chamber. this makes the propelling gases escape earlier, thus not pushing the bullet with the same power. this decreases muzzle velocity, a bit of power and also a bit of accuracy). however, i realized three things:
1st: it would tke a while for someone to prepare the weapon. yes, it can be fired without the barrel extension and even with the stock folded, but the short reciever and barrel means there will be almost no accuracy.
2nd: it would not be as compact as the MP-7, for example. it would also be very thick, because of the barrel extension and folding stock.
3rd: because of this, there are MANY better weapons out there (just like the MP7).
so, crazy idea, isn't it?
i bet your telescopic barrel is more practical than this idea i had last year. also, we already have telescoping bolts (*cough MAC-10 *cough), so why not have telescoping barrels?
it's the next step towards compactiness!

We have one thing in common I see! When I went to school, I drew weapons all the time. Mostly melee weapons, like swords, axes, spears etc., but also many, many kinds of firearms. I also have at least one thousand weapons under my belt.
And that concept of yours does seem interesting! I'd like to see an illustration of it! But sadly, as you said, there probably are better systems out there.. Check the CBJ-MS for example! Almost the size of a pistol, and though it has an extremely short barrel it has an effective range of about 400 m (!) and greater penetration than both 7.62x51mm and 5.56x45mm!
This is mostly because of the round, a 6.5mm sabot round which houses a 4mm tungsten round.. And the weapon itself is an SMG, DMR and machinegun all in one. Beautiful piece it is!

indeed it is. at first sight, it may look like a modded mixture of a UZI and a MAC-10, but take a better look...
CBJ-MS, kicking a*s since 2000.

oh and BTW that advice of yours "the F2000's scope works for nearly everything" proved very useful. i was running out of options to fill a great gap there when i remembered, "it works for nearly everything!". a little size adjustment and it just fit perfectly.
thanks!
