There are a few good 'mascot' videos on you tube. Also the people who make furry suits have done great videos. Its a lot of green soft foam glued in the generic shape and covered with fake fur. Send me a pm with your email and I can at least send my progress picture to help.

I made the shape with some foam and glue, cut eye holes, glued on fur. It was pretty simple actually. The fur hides all the little mistakes.
