I'm back with a picture of a dragon. Did this for to relate with his story that you can read here: magnaangel.deviantart.com/art/…The thing I enjoyed the most doing this was the sky and the wings of the dragon (that for the first time didn't drive me crazy XD).
I really love how the clouds twist around the light point in the bg. I think I'll be doing more skies like this one

Yep. He's the only one of his kind, and he's a fully trained war dragon. He's also pretty huge.
And Loki's son, of course.

Very nice, I like the dragon's posture. It portrays a sort of tentative eagerness. Your use of lights and darks in a smokey setting was also well done. The light is there, and it does illuminate the scene, but it is greatly overpowered by the shadows cast by the smoke. The curve of the valley and surrounding peaks was a nice touch.
However, the picture's since of depth and distance could have been better. I didn't realize until I read your summary that the dragon was on a high cliff. Initially I thought it was a giant dragon filling up the valley. Also, the cliff itself is hard to notice as it blends in with the darks of the rest of the picture and the dragon's left wing hides most of the key-part of the ledge.
