Description Avon on a pretty flea-bitten white stallion, dressed in Roman Centurion armor as Gaius Julius Caesar. Rendered in colored pencils, although I did digitally fix his face to get a closer likeness.

I hate colored pencils. After all that time spent on the sky, and it still looks like shit. And I can't erase and. Augh. Just. Ignore the many, many flaws. T_T

Caesar. What a badass.

Anyway, this looks amazing! The shading on the horse just brings the figure to the front of the piece or something. Whatever's going on here, it's amazing! Keep it up!

Hail Caesar! I like it

Great work on all the accessories - the armour, the horse's tack, and the saddle cloth (the gold strip IS very impressive)

Ahahah, thank you. Working with pencils like this is so hard. You have to think backward. With digital stuff, I add the shine LAST, but here you have to think of it as soon as you lay your first stroke, so keeping white values for shine was always very hard. Anyway, I'm glad you like all the detail work. I like parts of the details, but perhaps not the whole thing. Still, great practice. I was hoping you'd like it.

I really love the horse and Avon/Caesar's left arm. I don't know why, but that left arm really appeals to me. Kudos on the colored pencil job despite what you think are flaws. Pssshsaw, I can't even draw in colored pencils, so I admire anyone who can

I bet if you took the time to, you would ROCK THEM. You're so good with markers, already. Yay for the horse and his arm, hahahahaha. My favorite bit is the little strip of gold fabric. Not the big one, but the tiny little vertical one. Ha!

Very prettiful! It's nifty in that you made it look more like a snapshot than just a drab old portrait!

Oooh, lovely. The details on the horse's accessories is wonderful! And Avon is wonderful too, of course.. he's very suited to be a Roman.

Ahahahaaa, oh the trouble with colour pencils and sky. One of my friends once had me help her colour a massive sky with colour pencils for multiple hours once. She was set on getting rid of ALL the white spots. Hahahaa. Your sky's white spots are forgivable.

Ahahahahaha. Yeah. I could put another billion more layers on the sky, and if I was happier with the piece over all, I would. But I just don't caaaaaaaaaare anymore. XDXDXDXD OH, COLORED PENCILS. I H8 U.

Glad you like it though, yay for the pretty horse bits, and Romany Avon.

No switching of the names... two, there has always been. You'll note a distinct difference between them in content.

Aaah, clever. I get it now. I thought about getting two myself, for like, photography vs drawings or whatever, but I'm lazy.
