Personally, (this is my opinion, don't attack me!) I prefer the one one the left. Why? It's more realistic, that's why. It makes more sense for him to want to hide a disfigurement than to hide a head full of hair. Perhaps it is best that we never see what's under the hat, keep the mystery going and leave it up to the imagination...like Pyro's gender.

I don't understand fan-girls, I really don't. I can't understand why they would like the one on the right. It makes no sense and takes away from his character. Isn't his character what made them like him in the first place? Paradox! XD

We all want h im to have some kind of explanation for hiding totally adorable fluffy-ass black hair... yet we all know it's probably some horrible disfigurement. Just keep the hat on, buddy, I'm sure no one wants to see that.

I think this is your most insightful piece, and among the best drawn. It so very much describes the subconscious of the entire fanbase. (Personally, I think those 3 hairs is all he's got, and they grow like cornrows up to his eyeballs. Mutant eyelash hair or something. Or some kind of anencephaly. Or both.)

Well sure. What's wrong with my attempt at this wild mass guessing? = ) He wears the thing so protectively, like a skin, or similar to how Mojo Jojo wears his helmet. If he was really just bruised from dodgeball, he'd be bruised in more places than his head, and they'd also go away. Acute anencephaly and/or mutated follicles seems logical to me.

i dunno, it looks pretty logical. in some instances, we know for sure that at least he HAS hair. the hair pin is still up for debate, but i think it might not be likely. in one instance when sarah came out from under there, he seemed to display some form of male-pattern baldness. but then again in big picture show, HOW does having all that hair or having some form of baldness HURT? surely an injury of some sort had to have been involved.
we may never know for sure, but the blonde theory is definitely out of the question

I'm more inclined to believe that he pulls his hair out, leaving bald patches in some places. There's a name for it, but I don't remember what it is. It's common with people who have OCD and anxiety, which Double D seems to have. Think about it. It covers all of the clues and adds up with his behavior.

I can kinda know the reasons why people say he has blonde hair,
But I think he has something else besides baldness since the picture show,and "Stop-Look-Ed"
The first episode when his hat came off and Eddy says "Geez Louis~" and Ed saying "Cool" which usually Ed like gross and zombies stuff ect*
So I mostly think Edd has more than three hairs, there just all over the place~

Yea I've read that too,but for me that not the reason why I'll think he'll have blonde hair.
Since Ed has red,And Eddy had Blue,that would leave Double D to blond,like the three Kanker Sisters.
And for "Quick Shot Ed" When they but the bags under there hair Ed and Eddy had they hair colors and Double D had blond there too.
Although I just prefer giving him black hair,and think that there's really bad scares under hit hat~

technically i argued with anyone who thought differently than me. i thought i sounded tough then, but once i gained some maturity and could see both sides of the arguement and that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, i look back over those comments and this voice says "WHY? I think you may be mostly right for what you think is under his hat. I was watching the last episode with them going towards Eddy's older bro's house, and when Double D's hat fell off Ed asked him if it hurt.

ROFL Yeah their expressions were pretty funny. I like to think he still has a full head of hair but a scar across his forehead. Not sure where he would have gotten it but I have a couple of ideas.
