Description equals happiness....

the two main characters from my comic "Bomango"...Andy (left) Gogo (right)

no matter what battles you fight or what scars you wear or who you know and lose, and no matter how much you kick and struggle to break free, you'll never be free of desire, that lives in the heart.

And then, sometimes, the thing we long to be free to do is the very thing we become slaves to. figures.

that's a bat in Andy's hand, by the way....sort of a darker aspect of his otherwise mundane and responsible personality.

and Gogo is apparently on some sort of redneck/flannel kick. *shrug*

How in the hell did I miss this? I think this is my fav of your gallery so far. The emotion is prominent paneling somewhat simple. (That IS a cross over panel, right?) nice.

I actually noticed something about this now. The preview image is different from the actual deviant. Though I'm sure if I scrolled up a bit, I'd see someone else has discovered that, but I'll play the fool and enjoy my hollow victory of observation. Either way, very nice work!

hehe yeah i don't know why the preview image remained the same as the original post...I updated it shortly after posting it, after GiantOtaku noted a discrepancy with Gogo's ear placement (a sloppy error on my part) I fixed it up and made a few minor changes and re-submitted. The image changed but the preview remained the same....good old dA technology

anyway, good keen observation on your part. The difference is not immediately noticeable thanks again!

I like the way you used the vignetes to portrait each one of them, looking at the opposite corners, one to the sky, the other to the ground, interesting compostion and very well balanced.
Ain't gonna comment on the greys, cause the others did very well saying it. ^^

I really like the black and white theme, and the toning looks great. I especially like the tiny details, it makes the pic more interesting.
Great work!

thank you i think black and white work is more evocative sometimes than color...maybe because the picture is more about potential than absolute parameters. In black and white and greytones, or sketched art, the possibilities of color are defined by the mind, whereas color may be beautiful, it's difficult or impossible to see it any other way.

That and not coloring something is way faster

The artwork is great. The black&white theme usually makes pictures seem plain, but I think it made this one more interesting. The only thing I have a question about is Gogo's ear. It seems like it's a little too far down.

thanks very much!

aye, the ear....i usually draw her ears set back and kinda big, but this one doesn't quite seem right maybe I'll fix that yet.

anyways, thanks for the comment! peace
