SO! i hadn't posted anything in a while, so to break my funk i dug out a random comic sketch and put it to work. and this is all i came up with?this one fairly runs the gamut regarding everything Gogo is to Andy: friend, teacher, antagonist, etc, so it was fun to do. I especially find the notion of Gogo as a housewife ridiculous to the point where it's actually quite plausible, at least temporarily.
she has her work cut out for her if she wants to make a grunting he-man out of Andy. In the process she overlooks two things:
one, she takes avenues that are generally impossible to follow, and two, losing her clothes is doing a considerable amount of man-building quite possibly without her being aware of it. (forgive the fanservice qualities of the rather rampant nakey present in this comic...but now you know what her hair-tendrils are for)
so yeah...just fun to do this again. i'll be posting more soon

It's not fanservice if it's actually a legit part of the story.
There is a book series I read called the Sword of Truth series and it's NOT a light book series by any means, it's extremely graphic and full of gore. But not in the same way a series like Game of Thrones might be, people don't just die left and right for no reason. There isn't a whole lot of bullshit that goes on, but when there is a war going on... THERE IS A WAR GOING ON. The details are made plain, laid out in front of you to do with it what you will. It depicts the horrors of evil perfectly, without that being the whole theme of the series. In fact, I'd say that most of the story is positive. But the evil guys are clearly evil, and the death is very much present.
Just... Wanted to put that out there since a lot of people seem to jump the gun on a lot of these things. Just because there are tits, doesn't immediately mean it's fanservice. Just because someone is murdered in a horrible manner, doesn't mean an entire movie or book is very gory.

.....it's female nudity used purely for the sake of showing female nudity.....that is the definition of fanservice, random boobs because sex sell. And how is randoming getting naked in public, just to catchy some fish a "legit part of the story"? Oh yeah, because this random event that just suddenly happened was so integral to the story. It was just catching a fish on a whim and could have been done many different ways, like her just catch the fish out of the ice lake with her bare hands like a bear does. And of course you could always imply nudity without actually drawing it, for the same effect.
It's fanservice, get over it. Why it matters to you, probably because like that shitty book series, to you truth and reality doesn't matter, and you need to convince yourself lies to function.

Purely for the sake of showing female nudity you say? That's an awful big assumption. Everything she is doing is in character, and we're allowed to see what she's doing. Part of all of that involves seeing her boobs.
The fish don't stay near the surface, bears dive aswell or they catch fish in shallow streams. Yes it was a whim, people are allowed to have whims, we are allowed to depict them having whims. Yes it's integral to the story, it's character development. We don't always need to be pushing the plot, we can have character development. I don't know how the Andy-Gogo man confrontation can get much clearer than this, she's getting him out of his comfort zone for both of them, since he seems to lack so much willpower and ardor. tbh if I were her and really wanted to push the boundaries, I would have stayed nude. I've done something similar before, to make a point and to more or less offer myself.
Doing it another way would not have been Gogo. Doing it another way would not have accomplished the same things.
And if you think that boobs should not be shown at all and everything should be implicit rather than explicit, well that's just your problem. Why even illustrate things at all then? Just write a book, don't show anything because nothing visual is integral to storytelling unless you're trying to skip words, which applies to boobs too.
Like fuck dude, nothing sexual is going on here. The point of this is NOT boobs by any means, the boobs are just there like the rest of Gogo's body. Why it matters to you, probably because like your shitty comment, to you perspective and understanding don't matter, and you need to convince yourself your views are absolute.
Seriously ridiculous conclusions you're coming to about absolutely everything I posted. Did you even READ the "shitty" book series that you believe doesn't care about truth and reality? How in the hell would any of what I said point towards me being unable to function without lying to myself? You're way out of line and making judgements of people's thoughts that you don't even know! Hehehe. This is awesome! I love Gogo just going and jumping in the lake. Andy is just on the sidelines holding her clothes. I like how Andy is understandably not wanting to gut the fish, but in the end ready to at the very least watch how Gogo does it.

I inexplicably love this particular comic/story for no known reason, perhaps it's how it shows some of the more subtle or maybe even glaringly obvious parts of their relationship? Oh vvell, I love it all the same. <3
