i really dig this song by Gogol Bordello, and felt like throwing Gogo into some reactions to the song that i felt while trying something a little more conceptual.incidentally, i came up with Gogo Bomango and then a friend introduced me to this band, and the rhythmic (and phonetic) similarities between the names themselves struck me as awesome, even more so when i discovered how awesome their music is

i love working on stuff with accompanying music, and love GB since it felt like it meshed with the character pretty well. "Not a Crime" and "Immigrant Punk" were a couple other faves from the same album..."In the old time, in the old time, in the old times it was not a crime!"

Odd how you mention those songs, considering i am listening to "Not a Crime" right now <(/.^> and yeah the song meshed really well, and for some reason now every time i hear that song i can see gogo listening to it with either big headphones or a few speakers around her.

There is nothing more fun than using your characters to do a conceptual sketch for a song you love. Of course, none of mine are nearly that nice, but most of mine are done in study hall in about the time it takes to play the song two or three times. :/
