The 3D model in your mind before the first drawn frame on the top right is what we have the most trouble with.Β What do you do to get the 'skeleton' right in the cool 3D poses that you come up with?

The trick to being able to draw ponies in a 3D space is to break the pony down into basic shapes. Hereβs a helpful guide for that:

They first make the pony from 3 circles, which will allow you to see the figure in a more 3D way when youβre building it up ^^
