EDIT/ I've never thought this would get so popular . People, please don't share hate here in comments ok ?
I drew it long time ago to show that I didn't liked this design, and I STILL don't like it, but please respect each other's feelings. ~ /EDITQuote is by Rattlesnakedefender but it's so truly that I just HAD to use it T_T
..because it is NOT Spyro. It IS deformed angry chihuahua.
When I saw this article -> www.usatoday.com/life/lifestyl⦠<- I was all like: "WTF... IS THAT NEW SPYRO!? DDDDDDDDDDD: " becasue I hoped that it's gonna be a odl good classic Spyro in new version. NOT this thing. No offence but hey! if Activision want to do a stuff like this, why won't they create new character? They are destroying his good name. They are destroying Spyro himself! D:
This thing is definetly not a Spyro and what ever will ppl say, I won't buy this game or like this design. The fact that they took Spyro's design does NOT make this chihuaha a dragon, and definetly not this awesome, epic dragon we all know :ccccccccccc

Ripto's Rage and Spyro the Dragon were THE best games from when I was like 5 to like now. I never used a memory card, so I had to restart the games every time I played. I beat Gnasty Gnork in Spyro the Dragon, but still haven't gotten past the first couple worlds in Winter Tundra for Ripto's Rage.

Now the games are all popular so maybe they aren't so bad (I've never played them so I wouldn't know)...but I refuse to call that the Spyro I once knew and loved. It's just wrong xD

I don't like the new design but I'm willing to give the game a chance.
I love classic AND TLoS Spyro. TLos gave me a sense that Spyro was growing up, like Shadow Chronicles did for classic Spyro, but I don't know much about Skylanders. I DO however wished they had continued TLoS, there was a lot more that could've been done (I have soooooo many headcanons ideas), instead of making Skylanders. I'm also amazed at the technology in Skylanders, the cross-platform compatibility at least. If more games had something similar, but better suited for travel (e.g A USB-like device), it would make a much more pleasant experience in gaming.
But I do agree, this is NOT Spyro

Well yeah, basically, I didn't played Skylanders , as I don't even have PS3 XD; Buuut I just didn't like the design of "new Spyro" and I still DON'T .
But if a game's good, there's one good thing in it . c,:

Well I haven't even played it yet so I'm not going to judge the game, however based on what I've seen, It HAS taken a turn for the worst. But yes, like you, I just don't see the new design as Spyro. It may be loosely based on him (key word; loosely), but it's not Spyro.
But just because the design is terrible, doesn't mean I'm not willing to give the game a chance. After all, Activsion made Prototype, didn't they? And that was a whole bucket-load of awesome.

I've never played Prototype, though I've heard alot about this game, and it was always someething positive, so I bet Activision did good job on this one .

It's kinda sad that it's so hard to find someone who can have civilized conversation concerning the difference of opinion.
Yeah, I loved him too. My personal favorite is Shadow Legacy (on DS)
It kept aspects of classic Spyro, whilst adding an awesome, more serious threat. It demonstrated that a purple dragon is a truly powerful creature, whilst keeping it fun. (who doesn't like hill-billy bunnies? XD)
For the same reason, I also love TLoS (do not understand all the hate). TLoS was introducing more depth to our beloved purple dragon.
I highly recommend Prototype, but only if you're okay with harsh swearing (it's ridiculous in this game), an excess of gore and obscene violence. I mean, you can slice people in half and practically eat them, so yeah.
