XD I was looking at what Spyro had turned into. And I thought wow. What the hell happened? So then I made this picture comparing the two pictures. Left- Old Spyro Right-The "New" Spyro.

compared to some of his designs, this one is actually one of the closest to the original I've seen in a long long time.

To be honest as I played the Spyro games that I had from ps1 to ps2 before The Legend of Spyro, I always thought something was missing that made him so unique and when I heard the news I was so relieved and yes I do agree that some of the cinematic was off but Spyro I believe needed to grow up a little more I mean just horn chasing and breathing fire or any element sometimes just wasn't enough. In the Legend series I was always into the plot and I adore the Legend series plus the melee differences of the battles and fights made me adore Spyro even more.Β
I may love the Legend Spyro but I'll never forget the spyro games I played when I was just a child

I'm rry to say that though I grew up playing the second spyro, in the eternal night cutscene with the collapsingΒ cave I hate how his spikes sway as he moved his head. SPIKES ARE MEANT TO BE SOLID!!. But back to the point, I reckon if they just added Cynder instead of ember and made a classic spyro remake, I reckon it'd be popular. But I also think they ruined sparx by making him stupid because honestly the jokes were only alittle funny as a kid and now he's just plain annoying. NO OFFENCE TO ANY ONE OUT THERE!. I'm just saying that I think they should have merged the two together. like keep original sparx's and classic spyro's looks but add like the world of the second spyro. As for sky landers spyro.. uh.. um.. well sparx isn't even spyro's side kick anymore.. um.. maybe add a few, LIKEABLE characters from it? and maybe have the wing's design. I dunno, just my opinion. Don't take any offence anyone.

Well... I started playing "Spyro" with the game where he's the one on the right and I really liked it and his design. The next one was even better because his progression in age and size fit and made him look stronger. To be brutally honest when I first saw how Spyro looked before "The Eternal Night" and "Dawn of the Dragon" I was rather disappointed. And you have to admit that at least in the two aforementioned games his eyebrows don't look as if they've been glued to his forehead anymore
But the worst one really is the newest from "Skylanders"Β

I miss the old Spyro. This Skylander stuff sucks! I want the adventure to come back. The bosses, the fire breathing, and Sparx the Dragonfly! Why you no here?! My childhood has been smashed to bits because of Skylanders.

My favorite spyro design is a heros tail, it has a mix between classic and legends.

I played that game as well as the classic trilogy and I have to agree there. I didn't like it quite as much but it was still good. If the rest of the games had been like that I would have been quite happy to continue to buy the series.

I actually think the one on the right makes him more like a kid, which he is. I've never played the classic because i grew up playing the legends. The one where he's a teen is fantastic!

As do I. I love the legendΒ games just as much as I love the originalΒ games and you know something evenΒ MORE disappointing about Skylanders? Believe it or not, they were originally going to make a movie based the Legend of Spyro trilogy titled "The Legend of Spyro 3D" and as soon as I found that out, I was so excited I felt like passing out knowing thatΒ my FAV childhood heroΒ was gonna make it onΒ the big screen! But disappointingly it got cancelled because of Skylosers!Β
