Description SLK studio light - the last one! The emphasies here is on the black leather for the interior. Other than that pretty generic scene - studio light, HDR for reflections, car paint and chrome (I always try to stick to as fewer materials as possible).

Max, vray and a good dualcore.

There is nothing like talan man! I don't count myself as an artist at all. It is about sitting infron of max for a long time over and over till you learn it. I would consired you more talanted because of your webpage designs , but yeah if you wanna learn it just go ahead and start using max. I can tell you I learned everithing about my cars on my own.

...you know that computing has advanced when you can easily mistake a 3D render for a photograph.

Nice work man, I've never used vray before, how long does somthing like this take?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

vankata In reply to BigZapfer [2006-10-19 17:44:42 +0000 UTC]

To render it? it is like...hmm 7 hours...my setups aren't very grate. I mean the same quallity you might get on faster rendering time.

love the way this turned out...love the seats...

the chrome behind the seats is a lil bit too eye catching...also the specularity on the car right above the rear tyre looks too diffused...great job.

vankata In reply to nikhil [2006-10-19 08:48:56 +0000 UTC]

I agree for the chorme. Maybe if a little brushed will fix it. As for the carpaint...well, I was trying to achieve pearl effect, like those cars that on shiny light they are not solid color andd the reflections are very diffused. I guess is not the best job, but that is what it is hehe

LOL we are always our own worst critic when it comes to our artwork - I personally have never used any 3D rendering programs - so stuff like this is mindblowing to me!

i really like this one.. but rearlights still kinda pale to me.. (how bout make it abit reddish glowing?*)
wheel looks good.. but.. brake caliper slight constant flat
im gonna fav this but.. (there always but*) its a great work!!
great improvements~

vankata In reply to Siregar3D [2006-10-12 08:49:41 +0000 UTC]

yeah, I notice that the rearlight look alot flat too. on the wheels I don't like the materials of the rim. is't kind of frustrating because I don't really know what exactly I have to do.

thank you mate! great as usual!
