Description
oil on canvas, 120x80 cm.These are actually not poplar trees but the nesting colonies of the sociable weavers in the Kalahari desert. The weaver birds build their nests in high trees or in this case man made poles. The nesting material is harvested by local farmers to be sold as an industrial fire retardant and gets it's color from the nearby Red dunes.
Although not immediately obvious, the focal point in this work is the little spy hole looking through to the other end of the forest.
A limited edition giclΓ©e print of this work is available through my site www.vanlubeck.com

Calmed me down.
It actually did it while I've noticed it in thumbnail
Got my attention as a little harmony window amongst the chaos of other thumbnails of artwork.
Spy hole is a great touch, I didn't notice it at first.
Good, good piece.
Muchos kudos :]

The more I watch it, the more It makes me feel as I actually am in that dream forest. The color choice transmits warmth and the rise and fall effect is a big plus.Β

I thought it was total imagination until I read your explanation.
Great composition with the perspective and the "spy hole"

You're very welcome. *^_____^* You do? I like red a lot as well. I can recommend viewing the other pieces, I've picked them with care... Faving the article is great too, if you liked it.
