Description Finally finished my first Sketchbook pro artwork using my Galaxy note 8.0.
I decided to pick a familiar subject for my first sketch, I'm a huge fan of Giger but I've never had a serious try at drawing/painting his alien creation (besides a few very quick sketches over the years), I have however sculpted one before so it felt familiar. Feel free to comment and/or critique this piece, any techniques that could help in the future would be great to Hear!

beautiful work, the details on this are outstanding and so is the shading and highlights those hands are awesomely done as well, very creepy and dynamic xenomorph hands are so hard to draw ;__;Β 
Β I love how the proportions of the alien are a bit stylized, it makes this drawing stand out but it still looks very faithful to Giger's work in how elegant and detailed the alien is drawn

Hmm great alien design inspired by Giger, never seen anyone make the tail go out from its crouch until now, interesting. Well drawn as well so superb work from you

Cheers for the kind comment got the tail idea from my Giger's alien book, there are some production shots from the first movie when he's hanging above Brett and the tail appears to be protruding from the crotch, also the way the creature uses in a very sexual way to kill Lambert appealed to me (in a design sense, not in a weird alien sex fetish Way!) so I thought I'd try and make it the focus of the picture and have the Alien kind of caressing it....

Dope! Looks very precise, especially how you have the light bouncing off every little ridge on the tail and face absolutely correct. Background looks awesome and it would appear you beat me to drawing alien haha. Oh well, I keep my Star Wars

Cheers for the comment, Β I really enjoyed doing the alien, that part creature part vacuum attachment thing is fun to do. Just trying to adapt to the software (which seems Great!) And doing it on a tablet (which again is great, especially working whilst lying on the Sofa!). Love to see your take on an alien sometime too.
