Almost a year ago I drew a similar piece that was my first ACEO. I love the theme of benevolent interactions between animals, so I made another hummingbird with cat drawing. I really like the almost Rembrandt lighting to this piece, a result of me trying to make a foresty background and not liking it. The best thing to do? Make it darker!

Very sweet, and wonderfully drawn. I love how the two somewhat resemble each other, with their included bright colors. they seem like an odd couple but work well in this picture together. and I love the lighting and the background.
