Description
After finishing more serious work, I like to wind down wind down and play with media. I free handed the inks of this kitsune critter with a brush and ink, used white paint and colored pencil to ad some form and went goofy with gold ink and leafing pen. I also put a real stone in the forehead, so this piece is pretty shiny in person. All in all, it was relaxing. Anatomy errors abound, I tell people all the time I suck at drawing. No one ever listens.
Another piece for the FC 2008 show.

Your anatomy is significantly better than a large percentage of furry artists. That makes you much better than average. Because most people who look at this kind of stuff are furry artists themselves, when your stuff is better than theirs, they cannot see the flaws because they haven't trained well enough yet to spot them.
I would consider myself one of them as I cannot spot anything that stands out to me as wrong.

Reminds me of my Foxtrot image; gold paint, colored paper, ect. Yours is better.

It's still amazing as usual. I love the eyes.

well, you're right, anatomy mistakes abound.... but it still is really good.

That is because that is pure nonsense. I consider you one of the more skilled and talented artists here on DA.
Anatomical errors are nearly impossible to avoid without, (and even with), live or photographic reference on-hand, unless one has memorized every bone, tendon, muscle and fatty tissue on the living body of the subject form, and EXACTLY how they all size up proportionally to each other and fit together... which I know I could never, ever do. (My brain won't hold that much trivial detail information)
The pose looks a little stiff, and the kitsune appears to be leaning slightly to one side like a rigid statue that is off balance, but otherwise I see no glaring flaws in this.
...just minor imperfections, none of which being greater than the normal variances and mutations one can see in a real living creature as far as I can tell, (which are never perfectly shaped or symmetrical anyway).
This one is joining my folder.
