Description
My first reference sheet is a fursuit design. I enjoyed working with Spottacus on his character, which, from what I understand, is still being tweaked by other artists.This piece was a challenge and is what has kept me majorly busy most of the last month (in addition to pet sitting the exotics). Spottacus has false digitigrade legs, so I did what I could to build around the human body. I really like how the paws came out. The suit is being built by Lance Ikegawa.
This image may change, especially the level of detail in the body. Created in Corel Painter 10, 60+ hours.
I am not open for commissions at the time of this upload.

It's a fursuit sheet, so no need to show it more than once for the suit maker and cover up stuff.

Heh heh, I'm working on this project too ^.^ Like what you've done with Spottacus. My version will be pretty much the same but with small differences. Guess he just wants the different artist styles. Your paws are for teh win!

It is a beautiful design, and I do rememeber the name Lance Ikegawa from when I join the fursuit mailing list and was always astounded by his work (some 10+ years back!).
These days I'm astounded by many artists work such as yourself Vantid, and this is an amazing image that stands by itself as a beautiful work.
Hmm now would you ever consider a commision for a tattoo design of spots morphing into stripes up a back

He it Furtech!! such an amazing artist and an idol of mine! been taking about unique costume designs since 2003, like Stilts/quads/pupperty and stuffs. Hes comming to Furfright this year in CT! Zomg im so excited to meet him in person!

cant wait to see the finished suit. The paws and hands are amazing. The detail you put in to a Ref is OUTSTANDING. Great work. I got to watch you work on some of it and how you work on just ONE layer to do all of the fur is great. Love your work.
