holy crap, that's awesome. I don't even know what Gurren-Lagann is and this amazes me. The whole flow of the drawing just gives it a really dynamic feeling and the cape really adds to that effect!
and it's not every day you see someone using a cleaver as a weapon

And I am nuts for your backgrounds--I can't get over how cool it is that they're often tilted (due to the circular way you colour your skies, I think.)

Thanks! And yeah, I find that tilting background objects can add to the dynamism of a picture rather nicely. I'm glad you like my backgrounds, they often give me problems so to hear them complimented is nice.

- I know that the first time I saw an image of Viral, I though it was someones interpretation of KH Cloud - the designs are similar at first glance.
Fanart-lookers are usually not picky. Horrible fanart gets more views than good original work, often. ^_^ If it sorta looks like a character, that's all that matters to some. *gigglesnort* So Viral is an emasculated Cloud, now?

Maybe the peeps of good ol kingdom hearts jacked the design. Cause its really uncannily the same look. Most people are probably thinking that its just a different take on the same style. Of course when I tried to find pics of him (viral) couldn't find any good ones. >_> At least now I know its from an anime. I actually haven't watched that anime yet. So its possible a lot of people haven't seen it yet either. and because they look so similar in regards to the out fit here in your pic and this one

Hahaha, well if the design were jacked it would have to have been the other way round... Gurren-Lagann came out just last summer, so KH would have prior claim. But it's not so much the design itself as the way I drew him that's confusing people, I think... Viral has a pretty distinctive design all his own (like this ).
