”You’ve been copying my moves…”

Honoka spun around, surprised. Hitomi stood right in front of her, blue eyes gleaming with determination. This was one of her personal heroes, that’s why Honoka incorporated Hitomi’s technique as part of her own. But how to respond?

“Eh-heh heh, so what?” Honoka blurted out. Her nerves were getting to her. She wanted to try to sound confident, but as soon as the words passed her lips and reached her own ears, she knew that she sounded like an arrogant tool. But something in her clicked. There was no backing down from this, if she wanted to look the part of a strong fighter, and not some goofy fangirl showing off. Honoka decided to stand her ground.

Hitomi’s eyes narrowed. It took her years of training to get to where she was. She fought against and alongside ninjas, soldiers, and all sorts of fighters, and she earned her place among them. But here comes this apparent amateur, but one who can copy moves and techniques and use them just as effectively? What was the point of hard training, if there are powers or talents like that? Hitomi had to find out.

Hitomi stepped up to Honoka, and their eyes met. The younger girl was acting tough, and met Hitomi’s eyes straight on.

Hitomi’s voice came out a bit louder than she intended: “A match. You and me. NOW.”

Honoka replied with a defiant smile, but as she did, there was a small flash of light in her eyes. Hitomi stood firm, but she started to wonder if either of them may have gotten in a little over their heads now…”

Commission for ! I may have gone on long for the story here, but I enjoy projects with some kind of backstory to the action. So I won’t babble for long this time.
