And the final tally, after a tiebreaker that had to have ANOTHER tiebreaker on my Facebook page, we have...Asuka (Tekken) vs Hitomi (Dead or Alive)!
It was close between Hitomi and Street Fighter's Ibuki (who happens to be my favorite character, btw), but Hitomi was the one who got the votes in the end.
What? You thought I was going to post something related to the US Presidential Election because of the title?
Anyway, here's the line art! These two make for a good match-up when you think about it, since Asuka has a counter hold in her movelist, which is also an integral part of the DOA fighting system.
This, by the way, marks the end of my pencils art-block, and I can eventually get back to doing inked pieces when I re-open commissions.

If Hitomi won, why is she losing in the image?

Asuka won overall in the initial poll, and Hitomi narrowly won over Ibuki (by benefit of appearing OVER Ibuki despite having equal votes)in a followup poll for 2nd place.
Win or lose, these two are actually my favorite characters in their respective games. If a DOA x Tekken game were actually made, I'd definitely be torn between them!
