Description
*Spoilers!*Vin, at the moment of having killed Shan Elariel, from "The Final Empire," Book One of the Mistborn Trilogy.
Really great books. I love the characters, the world is intriguing (especially if you really think about it before the conclusive novel), and the plot is solid. It may not be perfect, but I can't think of enough good things to say about the series and I recommend it to anyone who loves fantasy, books, and books about fantasy.
The scene I painted here is my favorite moment from book one. There are other scenes I want to paint as well and I may get to that. Lots to draw and paint before that.

You did wonderful! *spoiler*Maybe a cool scene would be when vin gets a hankie from spook, or Elend and Vin as both mistborn, or when she defeats the lord ruler, or even from alloy of law!

If I get time I want to do the scene where she leaps above the mists in a sort of vortex during her final battle in Hero of Ages.

This is a freaking fantastic job! You managed to get all the detail of the text in visual; i even love how the mist is swirling around her! I actually made this account just to give you praise instead of continuing to be a lurker haha. Hope you decide to continue with other Mistborn inspired paintings!

She looks absolutely amazing. Terrified and vulnerable but somehow at the same time powerful.

I was just thinking about it and shouldn't the moon be slightly red too?

I did darken it down to an orangey-yellow when I thought the same thing. It was originally bright white with a slight blue tint. It dawned on me, shortly before I finished that this was wrong. The sky turned from dark blue to red at the same time.

Thank you! I'm glad you like it. I really wanted her to catch the sense of the moment and that (plus the mist tendrils) is why this took so long.

I absolutely LOVE the expression on her face as well as her body language- they really give a good sense of the emotion of the moment
