Yes, I think you're right. If this is kinda dodjou she will remove her boots. But! As we could see in manga and series, there are very many things that Kishimoto has borrowed from west-cultures. If the room she's in is not some kind of japanese training hall — she mustn't step in with her boots removed. Not necessarily.
