Its got potential.

The idea is that the ship is still operating on earth time, even tho they are so far from earth, humans/earthfolk evolved to live on the 24hr clock.
But 88 uses her alotted 8 hrs of rest time to play fuckin video games and waste it. So the ship suggests to abandon the earth clock and make her work during her rest time.
