Actually, Ahuizotl -is- what he is. It's a sort of canine demon from Aztec lore. It's even got a Wikipedia article, see?

ah. thats pretty cool. I also noticed that his name is supposed to be pronounced a-WEE-zotl and that he has an appetite for human eyes, nails, and teeth. This also means I was technically right Ahuizotl is basically an Aztec water monster, just like I said. Another fun fact I found out: that hand on his tail is not meant to do magic as is shown on the show but rather it is a lure which he uses to snatch his human prey. He also lures his prey to the shores of his watery home by imitating the sound of a crying baby. pretty creepy huh?

Daring Do and Ahuizotl's (I don't know how it's possible) descendant has a child with Soarin's and Spitfire's descendant making Aerial Ace as simple as that... except the fact that Ahuizotl is a cat/thing and Daring Do is a pony... so logically it is impossible; but hey! this is the internet anything is possible!
