I imagine that has more to do with the core concept. I mean, seriously, the point of the game is Pokemon are fighters, no matter what b.s. we add about eating them, compeating pageants, or whatever else is tacked on. Plus, people always argue which legendary is better, like my cousin favors Kyogre, but I like Groudon.
Although the games answer that themselves too. Using Rayquaza to fight Deoxys, BEST POST GAME BOSS FIGHT EVER!
