Gunnery Intelligence: Hello there, I am G.I., your comic was so, well, touching that make my other three comrades cry, even Namers, semi-hater of MLP, but I think I will destroy this moment with some sort of explanation on how that object works, I already worked with one or two of that, first, the eyes capture informations from your vision, then the informations go to a specific area of the brain, that I forgot it's name, then the area transforms the information into images, the W.BN is connected can connect with that brain area and share with the second W.BN, or third or forth in some models.

Cute, but probably not too realistic scientifically.
I've heard of artificial retinas made with image sensors that basic translate the color signals into the signaling your brain is wired to deal with and transmit that to the appropriate biological spot, but with our current tech a headband won't do much on the transmitting end. You need some pretty messy wet stuff to get this to work. You'd have to capture the signal your retina produces and feed it to the other persona's whatever it is that receives signals from the retina or otherwise circumvent the reason for their blindness. The skull does a marvelous job of dampening brain waves if I recall correctly.

No need for you to take my statement /too/; seriously either. Just understand that there is a definite lapse of logic there. As I said, I like the concept, but I feel like given the science-y reference a little more reality could be included.

I have mixed feelings here.
This is so sweet and adorable in many ways. Because a human helps a sweet and adorable blind pegasus to "see" with the help of an electronic devise. Here's the mixed feeling: as cute as this is, I can only hope this devise exist one day. Technology go fast these days. Let's wish this exists soon. We are close in fact.
I share the feeling to be able to hug that lovely mare. So many feels indeed.
Wonderful work

Wow, impressive idea! Makes me jealous that I never thought on something like that!
But, that's actually just an idea, right? Or is this technology really developed right now and you let yourself become inspired by it?

RastaHuis In reply to CMC--Scootaloo [2014-09-28 00:54:24 +0000 UTC]
the technology kinda exists but it isn't by far developed enough to do the above.
also who the F is chopping onions in here? *sniff*

I cannot help but note that Snowdrop might not be able to recognize the hand as a thing that quickly, and that pointing is definitely useless because she doesn't currently know the meaning of the gesture or how to distinguish non-moving objects from a scene. Almost certainly, it would take her a while to figure out the correspondence between the body parts she feels and the body parts she sees, even with movement to help her.
But don't mind me. I just think too much.
