Well its obvious isn't it? The ponies are all so pastel colored cause they are actually PART FRUIT! and the changelings evolved when some fruit flies starting feeding on ponies. and over millions of years they began taking on traits of the creatures they fed upon. witch means that changelings consist of 30% insect, 20% fruit, and 50% colorful pony weirdo... SCIENCE!
