Week three of earth magic class.

Finally, the ability Cobalt had been looking forward to. As exciting as sensing vibrations or manipulating earth was, this was the main reason he was in the class. To be a treasure hunter he would need to learn how to take care of himself should he get hurt. While there were plenty of books that covered how to splinter a broken limb or clean a wound, having the aid of healing magic always assisted in a speedy (and healthy) recovery. It was important for him to learn for the future.

Yet as excited as he was, something just seemed amiss. For some reason he couldn't stop thinking about her. From the moment he had woken up, Cobalt's mind had been busy; it offered worrisome daydreams and formulated questions that would never be honored by an acceptable answer. Cobalt had been doing good for awhile, but every so often he would falter and be dragged down by this grief. His mind was consumed with the gnawing sickness of curiosity, and it seemed that nothing would sate it. On days like this he did his best to hide his cocktail of emotions and forced himself to go about his day offering a faltering smile. Yet, even as the sun slowly sank below the horizon, Cobalt, too, felt his own smile fade. The day was almost done and hopefully the depression would subside.

Well, there's always tomorrow.
