Description

Cobalt rested in silence as he stared up at the star-jeweled sky.  Slowly, methodically, he breathed with care as water funneled through his gills, into his system and out again.  The lake embraced him as he was, caring not for his burdens nor asking anything in return.  Here the Finn could rest and forget his woes, his inadequacies, his concerns.  All the negativity accumulated throughout the day could be cast into the waters and forgotten with each and every ripple.  It was therapeutic, yet lonely.  Admittedly he liked having this to himself, but there were times when his mind would drift to memories, long since warm, now turned cold.  Memories that held certain wyngrew, refusing to be long forgotten.  Ah well, such was the risk of making connections, right?  Wyngrew come, wyngrew go, but the feelings they leave behind often feel everlasting.

I don't know what got into me but I decided to paint everything instead of doing my lining/painting combo.  It took awhile but I feel like it came out pretty dandy all things considered!  Mmmm yis, good practice.

Night scenes are perhaps my favorite thing to draw.

jpeg hurts so muchhhhhh why DAaaaaaaaa

Cobalt belongs to meeeeeee

Very short but as true as it comes. This is why it is so important to keep a level head and remain thoughtful and respectful of others, the impact you leave upon them is often ever lasting.
The details of the sky is beautiful, it is simple, yet still very powerful and mesmerizing. The lighting and colors of the Wyngro himself are spot on. He looks real and like he is right there in front of you, it really bring this picture to life, and I could almost swear I feel his emotions.
If I may be so bold to say though, the water, while pretty with a great reflection, feels off to me. I think maybe it is because it lacks more defined details like the water directly around the Wyngro. I'm not entirely sure what it is about it that feels off to me, sorry I can't provide more constructive criticism. Also, the mountains in the background feel like they could use a little more detail, but I'm probably neat picking a bit with that. ^^'
Splendid work as always, Vaylore! I hope you don't mind the criticism from me this time around. If you do please just say so and I won't do it again.
Anyways, I hope you have a great weekend!

Ah, a wonderful comment as always with a pleasant surprise of a critique!

aannnddd I totally get everything you're saying with it, haha.  There certainly was so much more that could have been done to improve and better this piece.  It does help hearing it from another source to confirm my suspicions (and waggle a finger at my laziness).  It also is useful in understanding what I might need to focus on in the future, so thank you.  As bold as a critique may be, it is still certainly welcome!  You have given lots of great insight.

;D  You have a fantastic weekend a well, Kannarith!
