Years long the Laboratory for genetic manipulation has tried to fuse genetic material of creatures into mutants used for all sorts of purposes. The life goal and aspiration of each creature was set in the deformed DNA.
As the requests for fighters sank and a very rich man once called at the laboratory for a housemate and gardener, the scientists tried to change the aspiration of the already further developed Experiment-399 from a Qardior to a family aspirated creature. and succeeded. After being released from his tank the experiment was sold to said rich man to take care of the garden. With his long big hands he diggedand watered, with the venomous jaw killed of any creature that might be a threat to the gardens plants such as crows, flies, wasps and all sorts of creatures. But things came different. Experiment-399 "Rico" had a brain far further developed than the previous short living experiments. Not only did he didnt die after the usual 3 years of life of each experiment, his brain developed further than any other experiment before. His original aspiration came through... Rico developed his own mind, went amok in the mans House and Garden after refusing to fulfill his purpose of a gardener and house mate leaving a damage of around 600.000 USD in the Mans Home. After Ricos escape from the place The scientists sent Experiment-467 "Akuji" afte Thom to capture and eliminate their gone wild experiment. Without success. The inexperienced experiment instead triggered a street war in which Rico ended up being involved killing 5 people and harming 13 others. A hole in his jaw Rico stuffed with an empty bullet will forever remind him on that day. After Akuji lost Rico, the wanted experiment hid in the shadows of old cars and other metal garbage on a scrapyard. For a while he has been starting to dig tunnels into the earth in which he wants to build up his own home. Weeks after being in the hidden Rico discovered another wounded and lonely Dionalu. Experiment-262 "Doak" was picked up by Rico and brought into the new home. Rico got to know Doak by talking about each others past and reason to why Doak was here. Since they had a similar fate of being "failed" experiments they decided to team up creating "The Renegades". Rico and doak built up the underground home whether after Rico helped doak with his vision thanks to his connections with partly illegal business. Over the time the 2 met 7 other Dionalus, which where neglected, rejected, orphaned or escaped from their original purposes. Rico's "Renegades" are like a family to him. The family sense ties him closely and tightly to his Gang.

To keep themselves alive rico steals, deals and sends people for errands in exchange for money.
But he promised himself that one day he would blow up the laboratories and make the scientists that creates creatures for mans use regret their decisions.
