Jupiter and Nephrite

Lol! YAY! I was in the middle of this sketch when I saw how close I was to having 200 deviations! I was then determined to continue to line of awesome epic sailormoon deviations marking major events like this.
Little did I know what kind of torture I was about to put myself through. I well through WAY too much for a silly deviation like this. It's not Completely perfect but it is a good enough quality I feel comfortable submitting it. I don't feel as though it's much better than the one I did almost 2 years ago, but knowing myself, I can also anticipate I'll be putting out deviations more frequently and therefore #300's style won't be that different in style. That being said, I hope I've improved a little bit.
I have never subscribed to the wide belief that the shittenou killed the sailor senshi exactly in their pairs at the same time. In fact, if anything, I think Venus and Kunzite would be the ONLY ones to have this scenario happen- and it would not be a draw. But as everyone seems to like the dramatic idea, I see no harm in doing the rest of them as you see here- in fanfiction bliss. Lol. In fact, please send me your fanfictions on this! I'd love a good one.
Again, No reference used. No special brushes. As for Nephrite's uniform design, I stole it from the scanty sketches that have to be dug from the darkest corner's of Naoko's work- do you know how long it took to find ANY pre-silver-millennium-fall uniform color? Yeah, I fudged it a little so he wasn't exactly like Kunzite and had more dynamics. I'm not a genius, it's not perfect. But It's OK and mostly accurate.

ps. Nephrite of the four Shittenou (for those of you wondering) was Queen Beryal's underling- brainwashed and taken control of since some time near the end of the silver millennium. No one knows how they met their end. So we the fans have made up one for them. XD There is one artbook reference as to this ship.

And, I agree with you about the fanon that all the senshi died at the same time. It's a bit farfetched, and them dying one by one is far more dramatic.

no offenes but the oringal junk was each planet had guardians which had moon peoples on it. All of them had a tuexdo mask guy on their moons (Codename sailor venus had curtano ace who died thanks to jupiter) and only sailor moon is guardian whom was a girl

So according to manga or the majority of fans, the shitentou killed the scouts individually? Hmm, yeah, i guess I could see that happen if they were REALLY brainwashed. Perhaps as a test of their loyalty to Beryl, if they were in fact couples with the scouts. There was a fic about how the shitentou became Endymion's guards, but I forgot the name of it and i never finished it. It is on fanfiction.net though.

Hm, unfortunately it's ONLY the fans who say that the shittenou killed their respective senshi. There are lots of theories as to why or how that might have happened. and in Jupiter's case the only evidence of her love for nephrite was the famed couples picture by Naoko herself. (Venus and arguably Mars have more solid proof of a relationship). But the manga really DOES say that the shittenou WERE Endymion's gaurd on earth in their past lives. They were known as the Four Heavenly Kings. Somewhere along the lines of the revolution they "sold their souls to Beryl and [their] flesh was changed." No matter how many time they are reborn they would be tied to Beryl's service. Which is why after they died in their second life, they remain in stones and appear to Mamoru to help and advice him.

Actually, Takeuchi herself endorses the idea. It happens in the Sera Myu musicals, which are official and consulted her. (Though of course a -different- reality than the anime/manga/live-action series)

In the anime it's more like: Oh look, how Sailor Moon suffers, she's going through all that sh*t her enemies have put her in and oh no, will she have enough power to...oh and by the way, the other Sailors are hurt, too.

I thought Nephrite died in the first season for one of Usagi's friends who fell in love with him. He died to protect her. I can't forget that super long wavy brown hair now. xD My cousin hated it. That episdode made me cry. And I believe it was before Jupiter was found. Then again... This is a fanart. ... >A> I should shut up now. xD

This is gorgeous! Great details; I especially love the last arc of lightning heading for Jupiter's tiara.
Since you said you want comments, I assume that means you want critiques, too. I have only one. Jupiter's whole body seems to be limp, so I think her mouth should be open. Unattractive but probable.
If you ever decide to revisit this, that's something to think about. As it stands, this is a beautifully done piece.

In the anime they died by being sealed in a death dimension, getting impaled by a person who's gender has been called "void" in the abridged series, burning and getting cut... or something. Nice job on the pic.
