Back at Newport International Airport, NFD decided to establish second staging area that will cater all incoming units at Newport International Airport, NFD Aircraft Rescue and FireFighting Station.Originally the second staging area is divided into 3 sectors but Incident Commander decided to relocate Triage sector near but in a safe area at the harbor to quickly tend to injured people.
The second staging is now divided into 2 sectors, The Firefighting and Rescue sector and the EMS sector. This station will become the temporary assignment of all incoming units before responding to the harbor in any case that the situation worsen.
The NFD dispatch multiple units and task force to stage at NIX ARFF Station, to respond immediately incase the situation becomes worse.
